Why we only sell whole bean

Coffee loses its aroma through surface area. A whole bean has a hard, sealed outer shell that holds the volatile aromatic compounds inside. The moment you grind it, you multiply the exposed surface by a huge factor and those compounds start leaving. Ground coffee is noticeably flatter within a week. Whole bean stays good for weeks. Grinding right before you brew is the single cheapest upgrade to your cup, bigger than the machine you own.

What you get in a 1 lb bag

Roughly 30 to 45 cups depending on how strong you brew it. At 16 oz our bag runs about a third longer than the 12 oz bags that have quietly become the specialty coffee standard, and we did not raise the price to match.

Grind guide

Espresso: fine, like table salt. 18 g in, 36 g out, 25 to 30 seconds.

Pour over: medium fine. 1:16 coffee to water, 30 second bloom.

Drip: medium, like sand. 1:16.

French press: coarse, like breadcrumbs. 4 minute steep at 1:15.

Cold brew: extra coarse. 1:8, steep 16 hours cold.

How to store it

Airtight container, room temperature, away from light and heat. Not the fridge, and not the freezer unless you are storing it for months and sealing it properly. Coffee absorbs odors and hates moisture, and a refrigerator is full of both.

Honduras Marcala, Honduras Espresso Roast, Colombia Supremo, Brazil Cerrado, Ethiopia Sidamo and Sumatra Mandheling. Each one hand selected by a certified Q grader and roasted to bring out what that specific origin does best.
