Kafie 1901 Coffee Co. is proudly family owned and operated, carrying forward more than 125 years of Kafie family history in Honduras and Central America. Across five generations, our family has built its life through hard work, faith, humility, perseverance, and an unwavering commitment to doing things well.

Our connection to coffee reaches back to the early 1930s, when our ancestors began roasting coffee in Honduras. Our great-grandfather, Gabriel Kafati, founded what would become one of the most historic coffee companies in Honduras and Central America. His pioneering spirit helped establish a family tradition rooted in coffee, craftsmanship, entrepreneurship, and a relentless pursuit of quality.

That legacy has been passed from one generation to the next, not simply as a business, but as a set of values. We were taught that excellence is earned through discipline and hard work; that success should always be accompanied by humility; and that perseverance matters most when the road is difficult.
